Karla and I went to the movies today. Went and saw Jumper and Spiderwick. Both were entertaining. I really fell in love with Spiderwick that movie was beautiful. Jumper had good action scenes.

I wont say too much cause I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I will say that they are both worth seeing. The acting isn't bad at all. Usually these movies have bad acting, but I didn't feel that way in these two films.
Though the only thing that bothered me was the damn crying babies, in BOTH movies. It's like holy crap, leave the kids at home till their old enough to shut up and enjoy the film. ugh stupid parents.

Woohoo!

So here's the story. I recently got onto LinkedIn.com. It's the lovely little networking site, where you can find people you either went to school with or worked with. Well I found one of my buddies who graduated from AI like three or four quarters ago, I'm sure some of my friends know him, Sean Reilly is his name . I was just shooting a "hello, wondering if you remember me" type email and he's all "Hells yea! I do" and told me about a job opening at his work. Wondering if I was interested and whatnot. Which of course I was, working part-time at Borders is not something I want to keep on doing. So my buddy setups a interview for Tuesday (today) and said all I had to bring was my resume and have my website good to go!
So I spent my Sunday and Monday working on my site. When my interview rolls along Sean gives me a tour of this AMAZING building. Seriously this place looks like something out of X-Men, like the new Cerebro. I took pictures don't worry!

Well anyway, my boss Marco comes in and we do a tiny interview and I begin my three tests and would you believe I have to do it on a MAC!!! HAHAHAHA

Yes I know. Those Mac bastards always seem to get in my way. ughh!
But I passed with good marks (HA HA MAC)! Then I showed him my website, he really loved my coloring work. After I went through that he showed my where I "might be" working. Then he's all "yea, you can have the job if you want it. All you have to do is wait for the new equipment I ordered for your workstation." I was like "OKAY!!!"

So YAY, I now work 40 hours a week at the Oakley Headquarters with Sean Reilly.
I'm soo excited!
Though it's in Lake Forest which is kind of far for me (living an hour away). But I don't have to be there till like 10am so that's great for missing traffic.

So along with working there, I'll be keeping up with my freelance work that I've been doing.
I'm very happy right now. Now I can finally say "I don't work at Borders!" lol Just kidding that company was good to me.

So I went and saw Cloverfield with my little sister. I didn't have any expectations for this film. I just knew I wanted to be entertained! Which I was, I really got into the movie. The whole hand-held camera thing they had going was cool. I liked it. Though, the guy behind me was complaining it gave him a headache (ass). The guy holding the camera (Rob) was very funny his timing was great!!! Some very good quotes in that movie.

The whole time watching this movie, I kept thinking of other movies. Mostly StarShip Troopers and War of the Worlds. Starship because of the alien designs (well the small creatures) were similar. And W.W. because they had the whole running through the city, hiding here and there, waiting out the monsters and the military shouting orders. I guess that's common is most alien movies
I really enjoyed the opening of the movie. It was like an MTV reality show. haha
Anyway, all and all it was a pretty good movie. Though the ending was shit. It was kind of like, "Oh I didn't think this movie all the way through. Let's just end it!"

SO yea, I'm not the best reviewer for a movie. But I did enjoy it.

What just happened. I went to add someone to my watchlist and it deleted ALL my 758 people I watch. UGHHHHH, DEVIANTART!!!!
Now it says I only watch one person. WTF
if you go to my gallery status it still says I watch 758. I hope this gets fixed!

Hey well I just wanted to see how this png file would look on my journal.
This is also a sneak peek to what I've been working on.The piece was drawn by Etoli, it's similar to her version because we both wanted to keep to the shows colors. So yea, I'm working with different colors for shading and lighting. As well as adding certain effects to it. You'll see when it's done
